Choosing the right Maileg pram or stroller can be surprisingly confusing.

With names like Micro Pram, Mouse Pram, Micro Stroller and Baby Stroller, it isn't always obvious which one will work best with the little friends already living in your Mouse House.

So rather than relying on measurements alone, we took all four out and tried them with our Maileg mice and Micro friends.

And we discovered something quite interesting: who fits inside is only half the story. You also need to think about who will be pushing it — and which Maileg house it will live in.

The Four Maileg Prams & Strollers We Compared

For our little Mouse House experiment, we compared:

• Maileg Micro Pram
• Maileg Mouse Pram
• Maileg Micro Stroller
• Maileg Baby Stroller

We tested how the different sizes looked with Baby Mice, Micro Bunnies/Rabbits and Mum and Dad Mouse.

The differences are much easier to understand when you see them together.

Maileg Micro Pram

The Micro Pram is a beautiful traditional-style pram with plenty of room for a little passenger.

We found that Baby Mice and Micro Bunnies/Rabbits fit beautifully inside.

However, when we paired the Micro Pram with Mum and Dad Mouse, the handle sat noticeably too high. They can certainly stand beside it as part of a scene, but the proportions don't look quite as natural if you want Mum or Dad Mouse to actually push the pram.

Because of its larger proportions and higher handle, we think the Micro Pram is better suited to Size 1 and Size 2 Bunnies and Rabbits as the parent or carer pushing the pram.

It also feels much more at home in the larger Maileg House of Miniature than inside the Mouse Hole Farmhouse.

The Micro Pram also includes a mattress and cover, creating a cosy little place for Baby Mouse or a Micro Bunny/Rabbit to lie down.

Our verdict: A lovely choice for Micro babies with Size 1 or Size 2 Bunny/Rabbit families and larger Maileg houses.

Maileg Micro Stroller

We found a very similar result with the Micro Stroller.

Again, Baby Mice and Micro Bunnies/Rabbits fit nicely inside, so there's certainly nothing stopping your Baby Mouse from enjoying a ride.

The difference becomes apparent when Mum or Dad Mouse takes hold of the stroller. The handle is quite high in comparison with an adult mouse.

For that reason, we think the Micro Stroller is better proportioned for Size 1 and Size 2 Bunnies and Rabbits to push.

Rather than traditional pram bedding, the stroller includes a padded seating insert, making it perfect for little passengers sitting up and enjoying the ride.

Its slightly larger scale also makes it a natural choice for the House of Miniature.

Our verdict: Great for Micro-sized passengers and better proportioned for Size 1 and Size 2 Bunnies/Rabbits to push.

Maileg Mouse Pram

If you're creating a traditional Maileg mouse family, this was one of our favourites.

The Mouse Pram feels beautifully proportioned alongside Mum and Dad Mouse. The handle sits at a much more natural height, making it look as though your adult mice really are taking their little one for a walk.

Baby Mouse fits comfortably inside, and the overall scale works particularly well with the Mouse Hole Farmhouse.

For families building their collection primarily around Maileg mice, this would be one of our first choices.

The Mouse Pram includes a mattress and sleeping bag, so Baby Mouse can be tucked in snugly before Mum or Dad Mouse heads out for a walk.

Our verdict: ⭐ One of the best choices for a Maileg Mouse family.

Maileg Baby Stroller

The Baby Stroller was another favourite — and during our little experiment we discovered a bonus.

You can fit two Baby Mice inside!

That makes it particularly sweet for twin mice or two little Mouse House friends heading out together.

Like the Mouse Pram, we found the Baby Stroller's proportions work nicely with Mum and Dad Mouse, particularly when compared with the taller Micro styles.

Rather than traditional pram bedding, the stroller includes a padded seating insert, making it perfect for little passengers sitting up and enjoying the ride.

It also feels well-proportioned inside the Mouse Hole Farmhouse.

Our verdict: ⭐ A great choice for Maileg mice — especially if you have two Baby Mice.

What About Size 1 & Size 2 Bunnies and Rabbits?

Maileg uses Size 1 and Size 2 as part of its official Bunny and Rabbit sizing system.

These friends are considerably taller than Mum and Dad Mouse, which is why we think they're better proportioned to the higher handles of the Micro Pram and Micro Stroller.

Maileg also pairs Size 1 and Size 2 Bunnies and Rabbits with its larger Miniature-scale furniture and play environments, including the House of Miniature.

We haven't photographed our own Size 1 or Size 2 Bunny/Rabbit pushing these particular pieces, so this part of our guide is based on their relative scale rather than our own hands-on test. If you're choosing specifically for a Size 1 or Size 2 friend, it's always worth checking the individual product measurements as well.

Mouse Hole Farmhouse or House of Miniature?

This is something that's easy to overlook when choosing Maileg furniture.

It's not simply about whether your little friend fits. Scale makes a big difference to how a room looks once you begin furnishing a Maileg house.

For the Mouse Hole Farmhouse, we prefer the proportions of the Mouse Pram and Baby Stroller. They sit more naturally alongside the Mouse family and don't overwhelm the rooms.

The larger Micro Pram and Micro Stroller feel more at home in the House of Miniature, particularly when creating a world around Maileg Bunnies and Rabbits.
