Maileg FW26 Woodland Friends: Meet the Fox Brothers, Reindeer Family & Forest Cabin
There's something magical happening in the Maileg woodland!
The new Maileg FW26 collection has introduced some beautiful woodland characters, including Big Brother and Little Brother Fox, the Reindeer family and a very special little suitcase that opens into a cosy Forest Cabin.
At Mouse House Collective, we love discovering the thoughtful details that make Maileg so special. And these new arrivals have plenty of little surprises!
Whether you're discovering Maileg for the first time or adding to a treasured collection, here's a closer look at the new woodland friends and what makes each one unique.
Meet the New Maileg Fox Brothers
Two curious new characters have arrived in the forest!
The Maileg Fox Big Brother and Maileg Fox Little Brother are part of the new FW26 collection.
With their distinctive fox faces, fabric clothing and charming personalities, these brothers are a lovely addition to the Maileg world.
They can explore the forest, visit their reindeer neighbours or settle into a miniature home of their own.
Like the Reindeer family, the Fox Brothers do not have magnets in their paws. This is a useful detail to know if you're choosing accessories designed for Maileg mice with magnetic paws.

Meet the Maileg Reindeer Family
The new FW26 collection also brings us a delightful Reindeer family.
Maileg Reindeer Mother and Maileg Reindeer Father are beautiful fabric characters, each with the timeless Scandinavian styling that makes Maileg so recognisable.
Together with Little Sister Reindeer, they create a charming woodland family ready for imaginative adventures.
Perhaps they're exploring the forest, enjoying a family afternoon or visiting their new fox neighbours.
These characters are lovely individually, but there's something particularly special about bringing the family together.

Discover the Maileg Reindeer Forest Cabin
One of our favourite discoveries from the FW26 collection is the Maileg Reindeer in Suitcase Little Sister.
At first glance, it looks like a beautifully patterned little suitcase.
But open the doors and you'll discover Little Sister Reindeer's very own woodland home!
Inside, you'll discover a clever pull-out sofa bed, a cosy knitted blanket and a beautiful woven rug, all thoughtfully designed to create Little Sister Reindeer's very own woodland retreat.
And when it's time for another adventure, everything tucks neatly back inside the suitcase, ready to be carried off to wherever her imagination takes her.
It's these clever details that make Maileg more than just a collection of beautiful characters.

We've shared a closer look at the Forest Cabin on Instagram, including the opening suitcase and clever pull-out sofa bed.

Can the Maileg Fox Brothers and Reindeer Play Together?
Absolutely!
Although the Fox Brothers and Reindeer family are different sizes, they make wonderful companions for imaginative woodland stories.
You might create a forest setting with Little Sister's cosy cabin, Mum and Dad Reindeer nearby and the Fox Brothers visiting their new neighbours.
The beauty of Maileg is that you can build your own miniature world, adding characters and accessories as your collection grows.
However, not all Maileg furniture and accessories are interchangeable.
The Fox Brothers, Reindeer family and Maileg mice have different proportions, so it's worth checking compatibility before choosing furniture.
We'll explore this in more detail in our next Mouse House Sizing School blog, where we'll compare the Fox Brothers with the Reindeer family and demonstrate which furniture fits.
What Makes the Maileg FW26 Woodland Collection Special?
There are several reasons these new woodland arrivals are worth discovering.
The Fox Brothers introduce new characters and personalities to the Maileg world.
The Reindeer family creates opportunities for imaginative family stories.
And Little Sister's Forest Cabin combines a character, miniature furnishings and a portable play setting in one beautifully detailed piece.
Each can be enjoyed on its own, while the wider collection offers opportunities to create an entire woodland neighbourhood.
And unlike purely seasonal decorations, these woodland friends can be enjoyed throughout the year.
