Sometimes I find myself wondering what it is about Maileg that captures people's hearts so completely.

Or is it something much harder to explain?
The more time we spend in Mouse House Village, the more I think it's all of those things—and something even more special.
Maileg has a wonderful way of slowing you down.
It invites you to imagine.
To tell stories.
To notice the tiny details that might otherwise be overlooked.
Before long, you're no longer looking at a little mouse.
You're wondering where it lives.
Who its friends are.
Whether it's setting off on an adventure or coming home for afternoon tea with Grandma.
That's the moment many people fall in love with Maileg.
It Starts With One Little Mouse
We've seen it happen so many times.
Someone visits Mouse House Collective looking for a special gift or perhaps their very first Maileg mouse.
They choose one tiny friend.
Then, a few weeks later, they're back.
That little mouse needs somewhere to sleep.
A chair would look lovely.
Perhaps a tricycle.
Or a tiny suitcase for adventures.
Without even planning it, a collection begins to grow.
Not because someone set out to become a collector.

One of my favourite things about Maileg is that no two characters ever feel the same.
A Little Brother instantly becomes an explorer.
Grandma always seems to be baking.
Chef Gaston is happiest in the bakery.
Even the tiniest accessories seem to have their own place in the story.
That's what makes Maileg feel different from so many other toys.
You're never told what to imagine.

I've never felt the need to plan Mouse House Village.

I think that's one of the loveliest things about Maileg.
Your collection doesn't have to be finished.
In fact, I hope ours never is.
